Artist Bio
"What's interesting about music is how it utilizes the mind and body, and brings them into alignment. My goal with my music is to bring people into alignment with each other. As cheesy as it may sound, love makes the world go round, and is a vital ingredient in any genre of music."
"I want to give my audience a story that they can place themselves in, while also letting them in on my perspective and what I'm feeling."
I have been interested in vocals and guitar since I could basically speak. Although I didn't quite have the dedication and patience to get good at the time, I would always sing and pretend to play guitar to my dad's 80's videos. Bands such as Twisted Sister, Ozzy, Ratt, Queensryche, Alice Cooper, and Skid Row captured my attention the most at the time.
"When I was 14, I got the itch to start playing guitar again and take it seriously, so I did and I have been playing ever since, and I'm currently 20. After a few years of playing, I started coming up with my own ideas. Some were more indie rock, some melodic death metal, I didn't really have a niche as far as writing goes, so I wrote down and recorded everything that came to mind. Once I had some solid ideas, I started coming up with lyrics. I Kept practicing over the years and my lyric ideas and my guitar riff ideas started to merge together more, and that's when the songs Cyclone and I've Had Enough came about."
This phase of my songwriting is where I also started to find what vocal style worked for me. Once I got my vocals up to a level that is recording worthy, I was on a mission to record Cyclone and I've Had Enough. I recorded them in my bedroom and eventually got them to where I was happy with it. Though the process had it's rough moments, I'd say I created something worth listening to given the tools that I had.
In the process of tracking, recording, mixing, and mastering these songs by myself I learned some Immensely valuable lessons about the importance of good planning and how it can make a world of difference in everything from production to promotion of your music.
I have played in several cover bands over the years, and some one time gigs. Mostly just playing open mic nights, But there I learned the basics of building a fanbase and engaging an audience. I might have a long journey ahead of me, but I know that as long as I am confident in myself as a performer, then I can achieve every goal I set.
